The Taipei Zoo is a top attraction for kids of all ages. The zoo is very large, each district has a different theme. Taipei City Zoo is a public zoo and the original location of Taipei Zoo was not in Muzha, but Yuanshan. Because the original site of Yuanshan could not be expanded, it moved to its current location in 1986. Easily accessible on the Brown MRT line, plan for a full day at the Zoo to see the animals, even take the Maokong Gondola for a panoramic view. The zoo is about 90 hectares, plays home to penguin, koalas, reptiles, african animals and one of the most beloved animals – panda bears. The ticket is affordable and there’s also a food court inside to grab a bite to eat when the kids get hungry.
